泰國拳在台灣發展情況The development of Muaythai in Taiwan
 
1969年，「泰國拳」風靡全世界，台灣電視台播出泰拳影集比賽，轟動一時．創下體育活動節目收視率空前紀錄。1970年，台灣搏擊先軀洪朝雄老師為當時台灣柔道、國術擂台(散打)兩項冠軍獲得者，培訓了一批學生，並邀請泰國拳金牌得主日籍高手浘田晴男先生，來台做為學生練習的對象，準備日後可以前往泰國競技，經過反覆不斷地練習，洪朝雄老師對當時台灣選手產生信心，因此，正式發函給泰國當局，決定組隊在台北比賽，可惜當時政府以考量民風及政局安定為由，禁止在台灣舉辦相關比賽。
In the year1969,Muaythai swept the world, when the boxing competition was broadcasting in Taiwan it got the highest TV ratings on the sports channel. In the year 1970, Taiwanese fighting pioneer Mr. Hong Chao Xiong, who is also the champion of Judo and Martial Arts (Sanda), trained a group of students for a future competition in Thailand. To train those students, he invited Japanese master fighter who won the golden metal of Muaythai to Taiwan to assist them. After constant courses, Mr. Hong believed that Taiwan was ready for an international competition and applied for official enrollment to Thailand for the game. However, the game was suspended by the Taiwanese government at the time. That was the first frustration for Thai Boxing development in the 70’s.
1988年，本會前身曾由現任張恩煌理事長，率四員選手赴香港與港澳泰國拳比賽取得四戰二勝二負成績。1989年，由台灣省體育會舉辦1989國際武術(泰國拳)巡迴賽，分別在板橋、高雄、彰化等地舉辦，邀請了泰國排名第六威煞weisa、喀查kwacha、山傑華因sanjewain等計6員名時，當時由現任張恩煌理事長擔任總教練，率領的中華民國泰國拳代表隊取得了八勝三負的戰果，在八個參賽國中名列第二，僅次於宗主國-泰國。後因補助與贊助均難覓，使「泰國拳」後動推廣又告停頓，但二次泰拳活動卻深深影響日後中泰武術交流競技。
In the year 1988, the current chairman of our association Mr. Chang, En- Huang led 4 fighters for Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand Championship in Hong Kong. The team got a 4 fight 2 win results. In the year1989, the sports committee in Taiwan hosted the 1989 International Martial Arts Tour (Muaythai). The games took place in Banciao, Kaohsiung and Changhua. We also invited Wei Sha, Ka Cha, and Shan Jie Hua… altogether 6 of the Thailand top 10 fighters to Taiwan. Mr. Chang, En- Huang was the leading coach of the Taiwan team and got a result of 8 wins in 11 fights. The Taiwan team defeated 6 countries and ranked second to the master country, Thailand. However, the development has to stop again for the lack of subsidy and sponsor. Nevertheless, this Muaythai promotion activity has brought great influence on Martial Arts exchange activity between Taiwan and Thailand .
1994年，六月深圳由現任張恩煌理事長，與前世界散打冠軍楊銳，主辦結合了散打與泰國式自由搏擊兩種強力技擊競賽的規則特點，首創武界先河《遠東國際散打搏擊拳王爭霸賽》，此規成功的實施，致日後中國散打王爭霸賽及中泰武術交流競技打下雄厚的基礎。
In June 1994, our current chairman Mr. Chang, En- Huang and the former Sanda world champion Yang Rui organized the first ever International Far East Sanda Fighting Championship in Shenzheng, China. The game combined the major rules of Sanda and Thai Kickboxing, which makes it more fearsome and brutal. The game successfully set an example for the later Chinese Sanda Championship and Martial Arts exchange activity between Taiwan and Thailand.
2009年，在越南胡志明市舉行的亞洲室內運動會泰拳項目競技期間，在「亞洲泰國拳聯盟」（AMF）主席 INTARAPHARPN先生、秘書長Mr.Chinawut Sirisompan(Master Woody)、越南泰拳協會副主席Hoang Vinh Giang，香港籍執行委員徐家傑先生及全體執委支持下，使我會代表中華台北成為「亞洲泰國拳聯盟」（AMF）第26個會員國，張恩煌理事長並榮任執行委員。
In the year 2009, a Muaythai event took place in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. During that time, with the help of Mr. Santipharp Intarapharpn, the chairman of the AMF (Asian Muaythai Federation) and Mr. Chinawut Sirisompan(Master Woody) the secretary general of the AMF and WMF, also the support of Mr. Hoang Vinh Giang the chairman of Muaythai association in Vietnam and executive Mr. Shiu Jia Jie from Hong Kong and all members in the committee, we became the 26th member country of the AMF. And Mr. Chang En-Huang became the executive board of the committee. 
經由「亞洲泰國拳聯盟」（AMF）推蔫及「世界泰國拳聯盟」（WMF）的邀請，在山地原住民立法委員簡東明及中華民國行政院體育委員會、教育部、原住民委員會等三部會、屏東縣來義高中校長高正雄支持下，我們順利的參加「第七屆世界泰拳錦標賽」，榮獲三銀一銅佳績。
With the invitation from AMF and WMF, and the support from Indi Chien ,Tung-Ming, the aboriginal legislator and Sports Affairs Council、Council of genous Peoples, Executive Yuan, Ministry of Education, and Laiyi senior high school principal Gao, Zheng Xiong, we could successfully took part in the 7th World Muaythai Championship and then obtained 3 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.
本次參賽本會亦分別派出七位教練與七位裁判參加WMF國際級證照的講習,期間經由AMF WMF技術主任Mr.Chinawut Sirisompan( Master Woody)權威而熱心的教導下,我國14位菁英教練裁判取得傲視國際的成果,一致高分通過。並感謝Master Woody本次撥冗由泰國前來指導中華民國九十九年第一屆全國業餘泰拳錦標賽。
During the game, we send 7 instructors and 7 judges to join the WMF international license seminar as well. With the technical director Mr. Woody Chinawut Sirisompan enthusiastically teaching, all of the instructors and judges pass the exam with great results. We also thank Mr. Woody can come to guide the 1st Taiwan Muaythai Amateur Championship in Taiwan (Taipei), on the 26th and the 27th of June, 2010.
本次大會會長:台北市議員黃珊珊小姐,是台北市議會具形象專業認真的好議員,為全市民謀福祉,在內湖、南港兩區勤服務基層,也同時為本會宗旨推廣有很大協助作用,如著名的全國十大自強兒童陳小武(威利)、格鬥博士范仲杰,皆台北市南港區體育會武術散打搏擊委員會所培育出來的。
Huang, Shan-Shan is the president of our association and the Taipei City councilor as well. She is a conscientious councilor with a professional image and also dedicates herself to the whole people in Neihu and Nangang districts. At the same time, she does a lot effort in promoting the Martial Arts, such as Dr. Fighter Fan, Zhong-Jie and Martial kid Chen, Xiao-Wu, both of them are fostered from Martial (San Da) Combat Association in Nangang district.
中華民國九十九年第一屆全國業餘泰拳錦標賽,感謝行政院體育委員會的指導、台北市體育處共同主辦及台北市南港運動中心熱心提供場地等一切資源協助,也感謝泰國貿易經濟辦事處(勞工處)、台灣泰僑協會為本次活動提供的協助,當然更有一群熱心人士、參與人員及廣大支持者這樣熱愛我們, 我們一定第二屆、第三、四屆、、、持續舉辦,對外培養出更多好選手,對內更做好向下紮根工作,謝謝大家。

第一屆全國業餘泰拳錦標賽將於6月26日起，在台北市南港運動中心登場，由中華武術散打搏擊協會主辦的這項比賽，集合目前國內僅有的泰拳選手，還包含了9名外國籍男選手，都想留下第一次的歷史記錄。
中華武術散打搏擊協會已取得世界泰拳聯盟和亞洲泰拳聯盟的會籍，是目國際綜合運動會交流的正式窗口，更需大力推展國內的泰擊組訓工作，將下一屆世界武術搏擊運動會及亞洲室內武藝運動會作目標，全力爭取佳績。
台灣散打王張景雄及輕量級散打王江漢，均苦練泰拳技術動作後投入角逐，在屏東頗負技擊盛名的來義高中大軍壓境，分組A、B、C、D4隊北上挑戰，共派出25名男選手、15名女選手，總共有全國15個單位組隊參賽，台北格鬥運動館亦派10名男選手出征。
26日上午10點展開預賽，中午1點半開幕典禮後繼續比賽至晚間，27日上午9點進行準決賽及決賽，預定下午4點頒獎閉幕，比賽以單淘汰進行固無冷場，歡迎大家前往南港運動中心3樓觀賞緊張刺激的泰拳賽。

以散打根底兼練泰拳並不容易勝過專業泰拳，全運會多次輕取散打冠軍的簡明金，遇上曾赴泰國拜師學藝的Demitri Telfair，經過4回合浴血戰仍以2：3險險落敗，這場中外對抗引爆現場最高潮。

第一屆全國業餘泰拳錦標賽26日起，在台北市南港運動中心3樓多功能運動空間開幕，首日進行男子10級、女子2級的預、複賽，27日上午9點起舉行共15級的準決賽與決賽，勢必更為精采刺激。

國內選手鮮有專練泰拳超過1年者，多為散打或拳擊好手兼練泰拳，雖然要入門不難，但想登堂入室可就非一蹴可及，來義A隊簡明金在男75公斤級首戰，第1回合就被加拿大Demitri Telfair打破口鼻處流血，但仍浴血奮戰全場4回合，最後不幸在統計裁判評分後1分惜敗。

Demitri Telfair6年前來台教英語，在他身上流著格鬥挑戰的血液，原就擅長自由搏擊，還特別多次前往泰國學泰拳，累積了技術根基和實戰經驗，他坦言自己就是喜歡挑戰和格鬥，所以每次參加比賽都想得冠軍，他在擂台上好像結合了泰拳的節奏加自由搏擊的強悍，打得高出10公分的簡明金落居下風。

每當中外對抗的比賽登場，就鼓動了現場觀眾的腎上腺素，而外籍選手在第一輪預賽也全部過關，其中在台灣散打界赫赫有名的日籍小河原尚起，連過兩關後已進入男子60公斤級冠軍戰，27日上午將和陽明大學黃永恆來場殊死戰。

 小河原尚起來台挑戰拿下第一屆全國業餘泰拳錦標賽冠軍，高興的想要留在台灣長住，他說台灣的人熱情、美食擋不住，而且讓他36歲了還能盡情參加格鬥賽，這就是他的「香格里拉」。
 小河原尚起和黃永恆爭奪男60公斤冠軍之役，陽明大學的黃永恆能過兩關進入冠軍賽獲得極大鼓勵，開賽後就毫不畏懼的猛攻，小河原尚起似乎占不了便宜，第二回合又被對手犯規打到陰部岔了氣，接受短暫治療後再起，就毫不留情的大肆反攻，可惜黃永恆體力已衰退而落敗。
 此役勝敗雙方均可圈點，以前小河在日本是有執照的格鬥選手，同時擔任老人看護工作，存了點錢就來台旅遊兼以拳會友，曾多次參加散打搏擊比賽，相隔8個月又來台趕上第一屆泰拳賽，運用「老人家」的智慧和經驗過關斬將，即使在受傷、被翻出繩圈外的情況，仍能穩住迅速恢復再戰，終贏得他在台灣的第一個冠軍頭銜。
 黃永恆學武術還不到3個月，教練蔡豐穗發現他極富天份，5月參加陽明盃散打賽是初體驗，也證明他有能力繼續挑戰，這次參加泰拳賽前兩戰都擊敗更資深的好手，可惜體能尚無法負擔第三戰的冠軍賽，第二回合後就有心無力，賽後脫力的跪在擂台上令人心疼，以後可能成為醫生而無法繼續比賽，但格鬥競技絕對是黃永恆一生的寶貴記憶。
 另一老將封后是女60公斤的楊郁瑛，她是空手道高手，幾乎參賽就能贏將牌，26歲算是女選手的極限了，依舊連續兩場力退高中對手晉級決賽，冠軍對她並不陌生，但楊郁瑛感覺泰拳的膝、肘運用都和其他武術有不小落差，自己還會多熟練、多比賽。
 最激烈的冠軍戰當屬男75公斤級，來義A隊拳擊高手、也參加過泰拳世錦賽的杜凱文，和台灣泰拳學院加拿大好手Telfair勢均力敵，4回合交鋒過程幾無冷場，由杜凱文4：1獲勝。
 首屆全國業餘泰拳錦標賽各組冠軍為：
 男48公斤古皓維、男51公斤周明傑、男54公斤林夃毅、男57公斤烏尼亞子、男63.5公斤蔡昇諭、男60公斤小河原尚起、男67公斤宋明諺、男71公斤張景雄、男75公斤杜凱文、男75公斤以上Fabian Schneider。
 女45公斤葉念慈、女48公斤徐祤綾、女51公斤杜佩玲、女57公斤駱巧瑩、女60公斤楊郁瑛。

團體獎前三名為來義高中A、台北格鬥A、台灣泰拳學院；另有最佳精神獎博孟／台北格鬥B，最佳美技獎巴斯／協和拳館，最佳新人獎黃永恆／陽明大學，最佳教練獎葉俊雄／來義高中。
